Testing the editor again Isis Athletics is a place for all women to further their active endeavors and meet other women who share the same passions. If you are new to the world of running, cycling, triathlon or fitness in general, you are welcome here. If you are an advanced Ironman competitor, you are also welcome here!!! All members are encouraged to post things they would like to do and we will work together to get those events scheduled.
My name is Wendy Just, and I am the founder of Isis Athletics. My decision to start this league of women was inspired through all of my experiences of meeting women who share my love of the active lifestyle! I never forget when to run one mile was a very big accomplishment and when clipping in to a bicycle seemed impossibly scary!! It is because of those experiences I hope to encourage all beginners to come in and find others who are like you; join the beginner events and go to as many informational sessions as you can. As I have advanced in my athletic journey, I have found immeasurable value in the women who are faster and stronger than me as training partners. Those women push me to become better and it is only through their tutelage that I am able to advance. I hope this becomes the case for those women who enter Isis Athletics with a strong athletic background. Please come on in, find women who are your peers and help to encourage one another to become even greater competitors and contendors in your respective sports!
Isis is the result of many months of research and planning, as well as talking with people in the sporting community, women like yourselves and potential sponsors and supporters. There is so much enthusiasm for Isis Athletics! There really is no other place where women can come together, share their passion for sports, form groups with which to work out, share event information, find personal trainers, coaches and the like who come with great recommendations, take advantage of savings offered by our generous sponsors and be a part of an incredible group of women; making lasting friendships as you go! So please join us. Your thoughts and suggestions are always welcomed.
